If you want to clean up your home theater setup by putting all the devices in a closet, your remote control won’t work anymore. That’s because remote controls work by using Infrared (IR) signals, which can only work through "line of sight".
That’s why you need an IR extender. This kit will provide all the parts you need to extend your IR signal to wherever you are hiding all of your equipment. That way you get the clean, professional look you want, but you are still able to use all of your remotes to control your home theater equipment.
How it Works
The two wall plates connect to each other via any 4-conductors such as 4 wires from a networking cable. It can control up to 6 different devices with the included dual-head emitters. After installation all that you can see is a small wall plate.

- This product is NOT compatible with the following models of the AT&T U-verse cable box:
- Cisco Explorer 4642HDC, IPN 4320, IPN 330HD and the Motorola VIP series. There are other models of the U-verse that are also likely incompatible with the BlastIR.
